Coach Registration
We need Coaches and Assistant Coaches to teach
kids how to play. Coaches are usually Parent Volunteers. Previous Soccer experience is not required, only a willingness
to learn and a desire to see kids grow. If you
are interested, please register by either of the three methods listed below or contact any member of
the club executive. NCSC will provide you with basic coaching materials and
will offer to reimburse for sanctioned training if desired.
All individuals wishing to be considered for a coaching
position with the NCSC will be subject to annual approval by way of
the Club's Coach Selection Process. [ Details

Volunteer Screening
All representative coaches
will be screened according
to the club's OSA Volunteer Screening Initiative.
WHY WE SCREEN?
The answer is simple. We want to do a better job protecting
participants. It is much easier to ensure the right people take on the
responsibilities that suit them best than to spend the resources to deal
with problems that arise from poor recruiting. Organizations are not
obliged to accept everyone who wants to volunteer. However, they are
obliged to do everything reasonable to protect those in their care.

Association "Volunteer Screening Handbook"
Students/Community Service
Are you a student looking to complete
your 40 hour community service commitment ? Consider being an assistant
coach or helping out the club at special events. Take the coaches training
and make your time spent with younger players count.
Community Coaching Program
Remember, to be eligible to coach a Representative team, the Team Head Coach and Assistant Coaches must obtain the required
courses through the OSA Coach Certification program. The Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association (EODSA) run a
number of coaching clinics throughout the year, usually in the winter/spring. For House League coaches, the Club is developing a Coach Education program and resources with the Club Technical Director / Director of
Coach Education.
Please contact the Club Technical Director / Director of Coach Education,
Bernard Thivierge for more information or to answer any Coach Education and Development questions
